The mockup building at the
Johnson Space Center in Houston. The
visitor's center is extensive and has some really cool stuff in it. Some stuff is a little corny, including most of their website (that's why I link to an interior page instead of the front page). We went on the tram tour of the center and saw the shuttle Mission Control and the space station mockup building in the picture above. All the blue tarps are there because there is still a hole in the roof more than 6 months after Hurricane Ike. The mockup includes most of the space station modules and a full-size shuttle, with some extra shuttles cabins. The mockup is used for training and to make sure new components (like science experiments) fit into the limited space available.
