The Llewellyn has some nice large crevasses that we had to navigate around to get off the glacier. We don't rope up in places like this because it is easy to keep a stable footing, it would be hard to self-arrest on the ice surface (so you'd wind up with the whole rope team in the crevasse), and with all the zigzagging around the crevasses it'd be a nightmare trying to tend the rope.
