Along the south end of Vigie Beach there is an outcrop of rock that contains a lot of corals. This is evidence of higher sea levels in the past because the corals had to be deposited below sea level. A local outcrop like this only indicates relative sea levels, not necessarily globally-averaged sea levels because the land could be moving upwards or downward relative to global sea level.
