That same morning, a little later and from a slightly different spot. The terraces on the hill below me provdided a nice lead in line to the quiet town and the peaks beyond. The terraces are supposed to help slow down small avalanches. And actually the area just above me was closed off due to avalanche danger. Underneath the snow were a few trails that I'm sure would be nice during the summer.
