Sedimentary rocks eroded into badlands at Red Rock Canyon, the backdrop for many a movie scene. I took this picture from the large parking lot that was once used for all the movie trailers. The desert was in bloom while we were there and a wide variety of flowers populated the flatter areas below these slopes.
