Just about everywhere I went, I encountered new and strange things. The first time I passed by this rock taking a new route down from the East Groin weather station the light was poor, so I decided to return later to photograph it. I came back a few times but it was never perfect. In full sun I couldn't see any detail in the harsh shadows, and when it was overcast a lot of the apparent depth in the pincer was eliminated. This was a bit of both.
