The view from the top of Castle Rock is one of the nicest that's accessible from McMurdo. This was the first time that I had climbed all the way up it. I'd been to the base and partway up in previous years. The ridgeline of Hut Point Peninsula leads up to Mount Erebus on the left, Terra Nova in the middle, and Terror on the right.
