Some of the views left me speechless. Here a glacier descends from its accumulation zone to meet up with the Ferrar (just off the bottom of the picture). Pictures like these help me to appreciate the unique perspective the helo provides. But I still think that my pictures from the ground in places where I've spent a lot of time wind up being better because I get to know the changing patterns of light, I can choose the best light for a particular shot, and I can take my time composing it (as opposed to the helo where I either have to anticipate the shot well in advance or compose it in a couple seconds).
