A juvenile whooping crane at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. We stopped there on our way back from Corpus Christi after New Year's. The crane is walking through a field that recently had a prescribed burn. My technical proficiency was lacking - this was just about the only sharp shot I got of the crane. Next time I'll bring my tripod or adjust the ISO a bit better or buy a thousand dollar fast, long lens...
