I got to Pontresina a day and a half before the conference started so I had a bit of time to get settled. I went for a few walks around town and happened upon this nice view of a distant peak through the trees. At the time the light wasn't all that great - it was in the early afternoon and the shadows were quite harsh. So one morning during the workshop when I randomly woke up early I ran to this spot (all the way across town) with my camera. This picture was from just before the sun hit the peak.
