This was a fairly typical GPS site. You can see Kurt on the sled making notes about the ice surface and recording the GPS start and stop time as well as the height of the aluminum stake that the GPS antenna sits on. Jeff is starting the GPS (the antenna is on the pole, the receiver is in the yellow box).
