After we finished with the work that was accessible from Camp 1, we moved our camp to Cavendish Rocks - a convenient site in terms of accessing sites where we wanted to do our work, but it happened to be directly downwind of Windy Gully (see here). The average wind speed measured by a little weather station that I set up next to camp was more than 10 miles per hour for the time that we were there. Another station on top of the hill above camp had an average wind speed of 22.6 mph.

After setting up my tent, I laid down on my sleeping bag to try it out. I left the door open. This was the view I saw looking out past my feet. Not too shabby.
