Looking up the Ferrar Valley past an iceberg that is locked in multi-year sea ice. For this hypothetical journey, we'll fly up the Taylor Valley (the parallel valley to the north, which is to the right in this picture) and then later we'll fly back down the Ferrar Valley. Barry, our pilot when I took this picture, had to deviate a bit from the most direct route in order to swing by this iceberg, a welcome treat!
